Johann Zeyer

Johann Zeyer (born October 28, 1894 in Haslau an der Donau , † November 5, 1970 in Hainburg ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer . From 1949 to 1959 Zeyer was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Zeyer was a farmer in Maria Ellend , but had also learned the trade of a merchant. He did his military service between 1914 and 1918 and was mayor between 1924 and 1938. After the National Socialists came to power in 1938, he was arrested. In 1945 he became mayor again. Zeyer was awarded the professional title of Economic Council, between November 5, 1949 and June 4, 1959, he represented the ÖVP in the Lower Austrian state parliament.
