Johann von Spreckelsen (upper age)

Johann von Spreckelsen (* around 1520 in Hamburg ; † 1560 there ) was a Hamburg senior citizen .

Origin and family

Spreckelsen was a son of the Hamburg mayor Peter von Spreckelsen († 1553) from his first marriage to Gesche Berendes († 1522). The Hamburg mayor Johann von Spreckelsen († 1517) was his grandfather.

He was married to Lucia Barschampe, daughter of Vincent Barschampe. From this marriage a daughter Gesche, who married Hinrich Tamme, and five sons sprang up: Peter was married to Gertrud Röver, daughter of Peter Röver, Johann married Elisabeth Moller, daughter of the Senate Syndicus Wilhelm Moller (vom Bock) (1558-1601) and Vincent († 1609) was upper age in the parish of Sankt Nikolai . The other two sons Caspar and Hermann seem to have died unmarried.

Live and act

Spreckelsen was elected in 1550 Jurat in the parish of Sankt Nikolai and in 1559, as the successor to Caspar von der Fechte († 1568) elected senator , elected senior in the parish of Sankt Nikolai. But he died the following year. His successor was Johann Hartig († 1571).
