Johanna Holmström (* 1981 in Sipoo , Finland ) is a Finnish-Swedish author .

Life

Holmström studied journalism and literature. She was married to an Arab man for 10 years and now lives with her two daughters in Helsinki and works as a journalist. She has published three volumes of short stories and three novels in her native language since 2003. The three novels and their collection of novels Camera Obscura from 2009 have also been published in Finnish.

For her novel Asphaltengel , Holmström studied both the Arabic language and the Koran . Asphaltengel was published in German in 2014.
