John the Baptist Church (Mellinghausen)
The Johannes-der-Täufer-Kirche Mellinghausen is a Protestant church in the Lower Saxon community of Mellinghausen in the Siedenburg community in the Diepholz district . It is dedicated to John the Baptist .

The short, completely preserved ship , which was built from field stones , dates from the end of the 13th century . The compact west tower dates from the same time.
In 1893 the church was extended to the east in the neo-Romanesque style. The brick extension was made according to plans by Conrad Wilhelm Hase . This includes the choir with a rising group of windows and the transept with two gables.
The triumphal cross is dated to the middle of the 15th century, while the altarpiece with its winding columns, acanthus tendrils and paintings is from the middle of the 18th century.
