Johannes Beisenherz

Johannes Beisenherz (born November 20, 1949 in Castrop-Rauxel ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and was Mayor of the city of Castrop-Rauxel ( North Rhine-Westphalia ) from October 14, 2004 to October 20, 2015 . He is married and has two sons. Johannes Beisenherz is the uncle of Micky Beisenherz .

Career

After graduating from the Adalbert-Stifter-Gymnasium in Castrop-Rauxel, he studied German and Catholic religion for teaching at the Ruhr University in Bochum .

He began his school career in 1974 as a trainee lawyer at the Adalbert-Stifter-Gymnasium, switched to the Willy-Brandt-Gesamtschule in Castrop-Rauxel in 1987 and went to the Käthe-Kollwitz-Schule in Recklinghausen in 1995 . There he was most recently responsible for the upper school as a comprehensive school director.

In 1969 he started his political career. Within the SPD in Castrop-Rauxel, Beisenherz was chairman of the city association for a long time. He has been a member of the Council in Castrop-Rauxel since October 1, 1989 . The focus of his political work in the city council were the areas of school, youth and social affairs.

In 2004 and 2009, Beisenherz was directly elected mayor of Castrop-Rauxels by the citizens. In 2015, he no longer ran for mayoral election.
