Johannes Bippart

Johannes Bippart (born November 13, 1768 in Berka / Werra ; † May 20, 1841 in Amelith ) was a German businessman, manufacturer, landowner and member of parliament.

Bippart was the son of the conductor in Herda (?) Balthasar Bippart. He was an Evangelical Lutheran and his first marriage around 1790 was Lucie Hüpeden (* October 17, 1771; † April 1, 1800) from Hann. Münden. On October 13, 1800, he married the second marriage of the daughter of the Waldeck Councilor Johann Heinrich Mogk (or Meyl?), Caroline Amalie Wilhelmine Mogk (or Meyl?) (* May 16, 1781; † June 22, 1806).

Bippart was a merchant and wholesaler in Münden and a landowner in Nienover. He worked for Ernst Jacob von Eckardstein for many years and became director of the Amelith mirror glass works in 1799 and Eckhardtstein's mandatary in 1801. Johannes Bippart had also leased the Spiegelglashütte on the Grünen Plan in Grünenplan since 1803 . In 1807 he also leased the Amelith mirror glass works. In 1837 the von Eckardsteins sold the inheritance letter to the Bippart family.

Johannes Bippart was from 1808 to 1813 a member of the departmental electoral college of the Leine department. From June 2, 1808 to October 26, 1813 he was a member of the imperial estates of the Kingdom of Westphalia for the department of the Leine and the electoral group of merchants and manufacturers.

His successor in the company was his son Ferdinand Bippart and his son-in-law Friedrich Carl Ludwig Koch , who had married his daughter Auguste Bippart.
