Johannes Buchter

Johannes Buchter (born November 25, 1954 in Pforzheim ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Life and work

Buchter obtained the technical college entrance qualification at the technical high school in Freudenstadt and then completed the training to the higher forest service . From 1980 to 1982 he was a development worker in Rwanda , and in 1983 he became head of the Haslach forest district . Buchter is married and has three children.

politics

Recognized in 1983 and member of the Greens in the 1984 district council of Böblingen selected. From 1992 to 2001 he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , in which he held the second mandate of the constituency 6 Leonberg . In 2003 he was elected mayor of Gäufelden with 55% in the first ballot and was confirmed in office with 96.6% in 2011. This was possible because no opposing candidate had come forward for the mayoral election. The turnout was around 26.6%. He did not run for the 2019 election.
