The constituency of Leonberg (constituency 06) is a state electoral district in Baden-Württemberg . In the last state elections in 2016, it comprised the communities of Aidlingen , Bondorf , ceilingpfronn , Gäufelden , Grafenau , Herrenberg , Jettingen , Leonberg , Mötzingen , Nufringen , Renningen , Rutesheim , Weil der Stadt , Weissach and Gärtringen from the Böblingen district .
The boundaries of the state electoral districts were fundamentally redesigned after the district reform of 1973 for the state elections in 1976 and have only been changed selectively since then. Above-average population growth made it necessary to reduce the size of the Leonberg constituency for the first time for the 2006 state elections. That is why the municipality of Ehningen was assigned to the neighboring constituency of Böblingen . Since the state elections in 2011, the municipality of Gärtringen has also been part of the Böblingen constituency.

Member of Parliament since 1976
In the state elections in Baden-Württemberg, each voter has only one vote, which is used to determine both the direct candidate and the total number of seats of a party in the state parliament . There are no state or district lists; instead, in order to establish the equalization of proportions, inferior constituency applicants are assigned second mandates . The last regulation in effect in the 2006 election provided for these mandates to be allocated according to the absolute number of votes at the level of the administrative districts. This is why so far a comparatively large number of applicants from the Leonberg constituency have been able to win a state parliament mandate.
The constituency of Leonberg has been represented by the following members in the state parliament since 1976:
Political party | Type of mandate | Elected |
