Tobias Brenner (politician)

Tobias Brenner (born November 13, 1961 in Kuppingen ) is a German lawyer and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1981 in Herrenberg , Brenner attended the language college of the Evangelical Church in Württemberg in Stuttgart , studied law, Protestant theology and history in Tübingen and received his doctorate in 1994. In 1993/94 he was public prosecutor at the Stuttgart public prosecutor's office, then personal assistant to the state secretary in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in Baden-Württemberg and finally in 1995/96 personal assistant to Economics Minister Dieter Spöri . From 1996 to 2005 Brenner was a judge and from 2005 to 2009 presiding judge at the Stuttgart Regional Court . Since 2011 he has been director of the Böblingen District Court .

Tobias Brenner has a son.

Brenner was elected to the Herrenberg municipal council in 1984 , to which he was a member until 2009. In addition, he became a district councilor for the Boeblingen district in 1999 and chaired the SPD parliamentary group in the district council in 2009. From 1996 to 2007 he was chairman of the SPD district association. In 1998 he ran unsuccessfully for the German Bundestag . On January 1, 2010, Brenner moved up for Birgit Kipfer as a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament ( constituency 6 (Leonberg) ). He is no longer a member of the Landtag elected in 2011.
