Heiderose Berroth (born June 2, 1947 in Stuttgart ) is a Baden-Württemberg politician of the FDP . From 1996 to 2011 she was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg for the constituency of Leonberg . She was the financial, sports and cultural policy spokeswoman for her parliamentary group and a sponsor member of the constituencies of Karlsruhe Stadt , Freudenstadt and the Boeblingen district .

Education, family and work

Heiderose Berroth attended primary school in Malmsheim and then high school in Weil der Stadt (1959–1962) and Stuttgart-Feuerbach (1962–1965). After training as an industrial clerk, she studied business administration at the Universities of Stuttgart and Würzburg , which she graduated with a diploma in 1973.

Since 1975 she has been an independent management consultant, particularly for car dealerships and petrol stations, as well as family businesses in other trades and since 1985 she has been active as a freelance consultant for the automotive industry in Baden-Württemberg.

Heiderose Berroth has been married for 40 years and has two grown sons. She is evangelical .

Political activity

From April 1996 to March 2011 Heiderose Berroth was a member of the FDP / DVP parliamentary group in the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg and, among other things, spokeswoman for the parliamentary group for financial and budgetary policy, sport and culture. In the study Fit for Life in the Knowledge Society - Vocational Schools, Training and Further Education from 2011, she was a permanent member of the parliamentary group's chair.

From 2005 to 2009 Heiderose Berroth was deputy parliamentary group chairwoman and from 2006 to 2009 parliamentary manager of the parliamentary group. During this time she actively campaigned for the introduction of expulsion in the event of domestic violence and is still involved in the field of private school financing to this day .

In the mid-1990s, she coined the meanwhile nationwide terms of the bureaucracy cost TÜV and debt freeze in connection with the national debt .

Heiderose Berroth has been a member of the Böblingen district council since 1999 and chairwoman of the FDP parliamentary group since 2009. Berroth became a member of the district executive committee of the FDP in Böblingen in 1992 and was district chairman from 1998 to 2002. From 2001 to 2006 she was a member of the FDP regional executive committee. During the same period, today's Böblingen district chairman and member of the Bundestag Florian Toncar was her second candidate for the state parliament mandate.

She is the founder of the non-partisan voter initiative Women for Renningen (FfR) and chaired it from 1992 to 2004, and has been honorary chairman since 2004. From 1994 to 2001 she was a member of the Renningen council for FfR .

In 1999, Berroth was the founding chairwoman of the state association of Liberal Women in Baden-Württemberg, and she passed this position on in 2001, but remained on the Federal Board of Liberal Women until 2006. She is still the representative of Liberal Women in the Baden-Württemberg State Women's Council .
