It comprises the Mannheim districts south of the Neckar Friedrichsfeld , city center / Jungbusch , Lindenhof , Neckarau , Neuostheim / Neuhermsheim , Rheinau , Schwetzingerstadt / Oststadt and Seckenheim as well as Feudenheim north of the Neckar. Election 2011

The CDU, which until then had always won the constituency, no longer nominated its deputy Klaus Dieter Reichardt , but nominated its district chairman Claudius Kranz. The candidate from Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen, Wolfgang Raufelder, received the most votes in the election, which is the first time the constituency went to the Greens. At the same time, he was one of nine constituencies in Baden-Wuerttemberg in which the candidate of the Greens was able to prevail after the Greens had not received the majority of the votes in any of the state elections before. The representative of the previous second mandate, Helen Heberer (SPD), managed to get back into the state parliament with her share of the vote. Compared to 2006, voter turnout in the constituency increased significantly (+ 13.5%), but was below the national average.
