controversy

Heberer employed her stepson in her constituency office in Mannheim. Because her stepson is a first-degree related-in-law, she violated the state parliament's employment guidelines. Members of parliament are not allowed to employ first or second degree relatives and by-laws with money from the employee lump sum.

This fact became known in May 2013. Heberer said she was unaware of the violation. Because his stepchildren were not specifically mentioned on the information sheet for the attitudes. The state parliament administration then waived the repayment.

Heberer dissolved the employment relationship with her stepson.
