Rolf Seltenreich

Rolf Seltenreich (born August 5, 1948 in Mannheim ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After elementary school , Seltenreich completed an apprenticeship as a wholesaler and was then employed by a statutory accident insurance company. After graduating from evening school , he studied social work at the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences from 1971–75 . Since 1977 Seltenreich has worked as a social and health worker at various state health authorities, such as the Mannheim Health Department, where he was Chairman of the Staff Council from 1981-88 , and the Baden-Württemberg State Health Department . Seldom is married and has two children.

MP

1980-88 belonged Seltenreich for the SPD, in which he had been a member since 1964, the municipal council of the city of Mannheim. From 1988 to 2006 he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , from 1988 to 1992 for the constituency Mannheim III, which was dissolved from 1992 in the course of a constituency reform, from 1992 for the newly tailored constituency Mannheim II. In the state parliament he was deputy chairman of the subcommittee for new control instruments.

Social Commitment

Rare was twice chairman of the Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband Mannheim. He was also chairman of the ASB Mannheim-Rhein-Neckar and deputy state chairman of the German Tenants' Association in Baden-Württemberg. From 2002 to 2009 he was president of the sports club 98/07 Seckenheim .
