The constituency of Böblingen (constituency 05) is a state electoral district in Baden-Württemberg . In the last state elections in 2016, it comprised the communities of Altdorf , Böblingen , Ehningen , Hildrizhausen , Holzgerlingen , Magstadt , Schönaich , Sindelfingen , Steinenbronn , Waldenbuch , Weil im Schönbuch and Gärtringen from the Böblingen district .
The boundaries of the state electoral districts were fundamentally redesigned after the district reform of 1973 for the state elections in 1976 and have only been changed selectively since then. For the 2006 state elections , an initial regrouping was necessary due to the above-average population growth in the Leonberg constituency , to which the other communities in the Böblingen district belong. In order not to cut through the district boundaries, the constituency of Böblingen was enlarged to include the municipality of Ehningen , although it already had a population that was above average. Since the state elections in 2011 , the municipality of Gärtringen has also been incorporated into the Böblingen constituency.
