The constituency of Kirchheim (constituency 08) is a state electoral district in Baden-Württemberg . In the last state elections in 2016, it included the communities Altbach , Baltmannsweiler , Bissingen an der Teck , Deizisau , Dettingen unter Teck , Erkenbrechtsweiler , Hochdorf , Holzmaden , Kirchheim unter Teck , Köngen , Lenningen , Lichtenwald , Neidlingen , Notzingen , Ohmden , Owen , Plochingen , Weilheim an der Teck , Wendlingen am Neckar , Wernau (Neckar) , Oberboihingen and Unterensingen from the Esslingen district .
The boundaries of the state electoral districts were fundamentally redesigned after the district reform of 1973 for the state elections in 1976 and have only been changed selectively since then. The uneven population development in the districts of Esslingen and Göppingen led to a first change in the layout of the Kirchheim constituency in the 2006 state elections. The community Reichenbach an der Fils was assigned to the constituency of Göppingen . Since the state elections in 2011, strong population growth in the neighboring constituency of Nürtingen has required another change. Therefore the communities Oberboihingen and Unterensingen were assigned from the constituency Nürtingen to the constituency Kirchheim.
