Marianne Erdrich-Sommer (born April 25, 1952 in Offenburg ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ), was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament and is a retired senior director of studies .

Professional development

Marianne Erdrich summer studying after high school in Offenburg 1972-1976 at the Vocational Teacher Education Stuttgart in the Department of Economics . Erdrich-Sommer joined the Greens in 1986 after the Chernobyl disaster . In 1989 she became a member of the district council of the Esslingen district , in which she was elected parliamentary group chairman a year later. From 1996 to 2001 she was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg. There she represented the second mandate of constituency 8 Kirchheim and was parliamentary managing director and deputy chairwoman of the parliamentary group of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen. She was also a financial policy spokesperson. In 2003 she ran unsuccessfully for the office of mayor in Wendlingen . In 2004 she was elected to the Wendlinger local council.

Erdrich-Sommer is active as a district councilor and parliamentary group leader of the Esslingen district association. Here she works in the administrative and finance committee and is on the supervisory board of the district clinics. She is also the spokesperson for the GREEN Old Baden-Württemberg.
