Andreas Schwarz (born August 30, 1979 in Nürtingen ) is a German business lawyer , politician and, since May 2016, parliamentary group leader of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg .

biography

Andreas Schwarz is a business lawyer and Master of Business Administration . After graduating from high school in Kirchheim unter Teck , he studied business law and public management at the Nürtingen University of Applied Sciences and at the same time did his community service with the volunteer fire brigade in Kirchheim unter Teck. He wrote his diploma thesis on legal issues relating to consumer protection when concluding contracts on the Internet. In his master's thesis, the focus was on the financing of local public transport in the Stuttgart region.

During his studies he worked for Robert Bosch GmbH , the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Interior and the Stuttgart Region Association . From 2007 until his election to the state parliament in 2011, he worked at the Verband Region Stuttgart as a speaker in the business and infrastructure department. He is currently on leave from his employer.

Andreas Schwarz has been chairman of the Greens in the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg since May 2016 . In the state elections in 2016, Andreas Schwarz won the direct mandate with over 27,000 votes (30.5%). In his hometown of Kirchheim unter Teck he reached 32 percent. He heads the largest parliamentary group in the Baden-Württemberg state parliament with 47 members. He is a member of the Presidium, the Coalition Committee and the Budget Commission.

In the state elections in 2011, Andreas Schwarz was a member of the top team around Winfried Kretschmann . He was elected to the Landtag in 2011 for the Kirchheim constituency. In the legislative period from 2011 to 2016 he was deputy parliamentary group chairman and chairman of the transport and infrastructure working group as well as spokesman for local politics.

Andreas Schwarz joined the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party in 1998. He has been a member of the Kirchheim unter Teck municipal council for his party since 1999 and was parliamentary group leader there from 2006 to 2011. He had a seat in the district council of the Esslingen district since 2004 and was parliamentary group chairman there from 2009 to 2011. During this time he was the youngest councilor and was also passed as the youngest councilor. From 2010 to 2016, Andreas Schwarz was also state chairman of the local political association of the Greens and alternatives in the councils of Baden-Württemberg (GAR Baden-Württemberg).

Private

Andreas Schwarz is married and has one daughter. For many years he was active in the voluntary fire department. He is a passionate racing cyclist and mountain hiker.
