Rezzo hose

Rezzo Schlauch (born October 4, 1947 in Gerabronn ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and lawyer. From 1998 to 2002 he was chairman of the Bundestag parliamentary group of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen and from 2002 to 2005 Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Economics and Labor .

Youth, training and work

Hose grew up in Bächlingen in Hohenlohe . His father Rudolf Schlauch (1909–1971) was a pastor there and became known as a historian, folklorist and author of local history writings. His mother was Ingaruth hose. Rezzo hose was named after the knight Rezzo von Bächlingen from the 13th century, who is buried in the Bächlinger church. From 1954 to 1958, he attended elementary school in Bächlingen and then went to high school in Künzelsau until he graduated from high school .

After graduating from high school in 1966, he began studying law in Freiburg im Breisgau and Heidelberg , completing the first state examination in 1972 and the second state examination in Berlin in 1975 . Since then he has been an independent lawyer . During his student days he was a member of the Saxo-Silesia Freiburg fraternity .

Political activity

Hose has been a member of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party since 1980 . From 1982 to 1984 he was an assessor in the state board of the Greens in Baden-Württemberg . From 1984 until his election to the German Bundestag in 1994, he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . From 1990 to 1992 he was chairman of the parliamentary group of the Greens. In 1994, hose became a member of the Bundestag . From 1998 to 2002 he was chairman of the Bundestag parliamentary group Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen together with Kerstin Müller .

In the elections for the mayor of Stuttgart in 1996, he was only barely defeated by Wolfgang Schuster ( CDU ). In the second ballot, Schuster received 43.1% of the vote, and hose 39.3%.

Six years earlier, hose had won 20.7 % of the vote against Manfred Rommel in Stuttgart and 12% of the vote in the mayoral election in Crailsheim in 1982 .

In August 2002, hose got negative in the press when it became known that he had used business miles for a vacation. He had previously scolded Cem Özdemir for the same offense . He tried in vain to cover up the affair and received criticism from the party leadership and the media.

In October 2002, Schlauch was appointed Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Economics and Labor, Wolfgang Clement . He was also the Federal Government's SME Commissioner .

Withdrawal from politics and switch to business

In the 2005 general election, hose did not run again, but resumed his work as a lawyer. Hose has been cooperating with the Munich law firm Mayer & Kambli since December 2005. He also became a member of the Advisory Board of Energie Baden-Württemberg (EnBW), one of the largest energy supply companies and nuclear power plant operators in Germany. From 2006 to 2008, he was also the chairman of the supervisory board at sprd.net AG in Leipzig, the operator of Spreadshirt . Since January 2008 he has been a simple member of the supervisory board. In September 2011, the Handelsblatt reported that between 2008 and 2009, hose tried in vain to do billions in business with the electricity provider Teldafax . It was about trading in heavy fuel oil, liquefied gas and South African cement. In addition, he sits on the supervisory board of MDH AG, a supplier of Chinese denture products.

Since March 2012, Schlauch has been Senior Adviser at the Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Turkey (ISPAT). The end of his activity for the authority that he had announced for the end of 2016 was denied by ISPAT in May 2017.

From autumn 2014 to autumn 2018, he was the rector of the Media Akademie - Hochschule Stuttgart , a new university for animation, game and industrial design in Stuttgart.

Hose has been Honorary Consul of Albania since summer 2015 .

Private

Hose has lived with the Albanian actress Ema Ndoja since 1999 . The couple married on December 30, 2003 in Las Vegas . He lives in the Stuttgart district of Rohr .

In 2006, hose received the Baden-Württemberg State Medal of Merit .
