Sabine Bard

Sabine Bard , b. Katzschner , (born November 27, 1946 in Rinteln ; † February 21, 2016 in Mittelherwigsdorf ) was a German politician. She was a member of the German Bundestag from March 29, 1983 until her retirement by rotation on March 31, 1985 . She was elected via the state list of the Greens in Bavaria .

education

After attending elementary school in Ravensburg from 1953 and graduating from the Elly-Heuss-Knapp-Gymnasium in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt in 1966 , Sabine Bard studied veterinary medicine at the University of Munich , which she graduated with the state examination in autumn 1971 . In the spring of 1972 she received her license to practice medicine as a veterinarian . After working in the Diabetes Research Group in Munich, she received her doctorate in 1978 . Then she took part as a research assistant at the Salem Institute ( Haar (near Munich) , later Stadtsteinach ) in research on alternatives to animal experiments .

politics

Sabine Bard became a member of the public services, transport and traffic union at the beginning of her career . In early 1980 she joined the party The Greens . According to the brochure " Die Kader der Grünen " published by the Christian Democratic Union in 1986 , she is said to have previously been a member of the Communist Party of Germany (structural organization) (KPD-AO) and from 1973 to 1979 also in the league against imperialism in Augsburg and Munich have participated.

From March 1983 to March 1985 she was a member of the German Bundestag, from March 1985 to February 1986 parliamentary group leader of the Greens. In particular, she dealt with defusing the current hunting law. The only legislative proposal that the Greens have passed in this legislative period is the import ban on turtle soup, which was their initiative. Sabine Bard-Kröniger was city ​​councilor for The Greens in Aichach until March 2011 .
