Annemarie Borgmann

Annemarie Borgmann (born October 13, 1942 in Wuppertal ) is a German teacher and former politician of the Green Party .

Life

Borgmann initially trained as an industrial clerk and then completed a degree in education. From 1974 to 1983 she worked as a teacher, later also as deputy principal , at a primary school in Wuppertal.

From 1985 to 1987 she was for the party The Greens in the Bundestag. After leaving parliament in 1987, she worked again as a teacher in Wuppertal.

Borgmann is a member of the Education and Science Union and one of the North Rhine-Westphalian founding members of the Greens. In 1981/82 she was a board member of the Wuppertal district association, and in 1983 she ran for the Bundestag in the Wuppertal I constituency. From 1983 to 1984 she worked as Nachrückerin the Bundestag Greens colleague, 1984/85 she was together with Waltraud Schoppe and Antje Vollmer Group spokeswoman . On April 1, 1985, as part of the rotation of Christa Nickels, she took over the parliamentary mandate until the end of the 10th electoral term in 1987. From 1986 to 1987 she was again parliamentary group spokesperson , this time together with Hannegret Hönes and Ludger Volmer and Willi Hoss . She was a member of the North Atlantic Assembly when she was a MP .

The main focus of her work was peace and disarmament issues as well as issues relating to international solidarity movements.
