Eka von Kalben (actually Erika von Kalben ; born July 11, 1964 in Lüchow ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and parliamentary group leader in the Kiel state parliament .

Life

Kalben graduated from the Lessing-Gymnasium in Uelzen in 1983 . She moved to Hamburg in 1985 and began studying at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration , which she graduated in 1988 with a degree in administrative management . From 1985 to 2010 she worked in the Hamburg administration, most recently as head of the social service center in Altona . In addition to her professional activity, she studied history and politics at the Fernuniversität in Hagen from 1990 to 1995 .

She was married from 1992 to 2012, lives in Borstel-Hohenraden and has three children.

From 2009 to 2012 she was one of the two state chairmen of the Schleswig-Holstein Greens together with Marlene Löhr . In the early state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2012 , she entered the state electoral district of Pinneberg-Nord and was elected to the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament via the state list . Since 2012 she has been the parliamentary group leader of the Greens in the Kiel state parliament. She succeeded Robert Habeck , who moved to the Albig cabinet . She is responsible for the topics of migration and flight, volunteering and religion. For her parliamentary group she is a member of the finance committee, the parliamentary unification committee, the council of elders and the parliamentary control committee of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament. In addition, there is regular participation in the Interior and Legal Committee.

In May 2017 von Kalben was re-elected as parliamentary group leader of the Greens in the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein.
