Cornelia Lüddemann (born May 11, 1968 in Dessau ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt . Since 2016 she has been chairwoman of the parliamentary group of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in Saxony-Anhalt .

biography

After graduating from high school in 1986, Cornelia Lüddemann completed an apprenticeship as a library worker and worked in this profession until 1991. From 1994 to 2001 she headed the constituency office of the Bundestag member Steffi Lemke . As a part-time job, she completed a degree in educational science with a focus on social work at the University of Halle-Wittenberg , which she graduated in 1997 as a qualified pedagogue. From 2001 to 2010 she worked as managing director for the Landesfrauenrat Sachsen-Anhalt eV Afterwards Lüddemann moved as managing director to the Federal Association of Sociocultural Centers eV in Berlin, until her full-time entry into politics.

Lüddemann grew up as a Catholic in the GDR in a political environment and was involved in the New Forum in 1989. She joined the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party in 1992 and was a member of the Dessau district executive from 2000 to 2006 and of the Saxony-Anhalt state executive from 1997 to 2001. In 2011, she was elected to third place on the state list of her party in the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt. From July 2014 to the beginning of 2015 she was a member of the Dessau-Roßlau city council. From 2011 to 2016 she was state chairwoman of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in Saxony-Anhalt and then did not run again because of the separation of office and mandate. Since April 2016 she has been the parliamentary group leader of the Greens in the state parliament.
