Dominik Lorenzen

Dominik Lorenzen (born October 2, 1977 in Weert , Netherlands ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Hamburg ). He has been a member of the Hamburg Parliament since October 2018 .

Life

Lorenzen graduated from the Schwanewede Forest School in 1997 and began working as a green entrepreneur in 2000. He is currently managing partner of Teamgeist Nord GmbH in Hamburg-Stellingen and founder and partner of general cargo, Hamburg's first unpackaged business.

Lorenzen is married, has two children and lives in Hamburg-Niendorf.

Political career

Lorenzen has been a member of the Green Alternative List (GAL) since 2009, now Alliance 90 / The Greens in Hamburg. From 2011 to 2013 Lorenzen was the spokesman for the State Working Group on Economy and Finance of the Greens Hamburg. From 2012 to 2017 he was on the district board of the Hamburg-Eimsbüttel district association, initially as treasurer until 2014, then as chairman. From April 2017 to October 2018 he was a member of the Eimsbüttel district assembly.

At the same time, Lorenzen was a deputy at the Hamburg tax authority from May 2011 to March 2017 .

Dominik Lorenzen has also been an elected member of the plenary and chairman of the environmental committee of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce since 2017 .

In the 2015 mayor election, Lorenzen ran for 16th place on the state list and 6th on the constituency list, Stellingen-Eimsbüttel-West. After Stefanie von Berg's resignation, he moved up to the citizenry and for this reason resigned his district mandate in October 2018. Lorenzen has been a member of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen parliamentary group in the Hamburg Parliament since November 2018. Until 2020 he was the economic policy spokesman in his group. In the 2020 elected citizenship, he received a mandate on the state list of his party.

Together with Jennifer Jasberg , Lorenzen was elected chairman of the parliamentary group on June 16, 2020.
