The constituency of Bietigheim-Bissingen (constituency 14) is a state electoral district in Baden-Württemberg . In the last state elections in 2016, it comprised the communities Affalterbach , Benningen am Neckar , Besigheim , Bietigheim-Bissingen , Erdmannhausen , Erligheim , Freiberg , Freudental , Gemmrigheim , Großbottwar , Hessigheim , Ingersheim , Kirchheim am Neckar , Löchgau , Marbach am Neckar , Mundelsheim , Murr , Oberstenfeld , Pleidelsheim , Steinheim an der Murr and Walheim from the Ludwigsburg district .

The boundaries of the state electoral districts were fundamentally redesigned after the district reform of 1973 for the state elections in 1976 and have only been changed selectively since then. The area of the constituency of Bietigheim-Bissingen is subject to strong population growth due to suburbanization , so that the constituency has had to be reduced several times since 1976. For the 1992 state election, the community of Tamm was assigned to the Ludwigsburg constituency , and for the 2006 state election, the Sachsenheim community was assigned to the Vaihingen constituency . The municipality of Bönnigheim has been part of the Vaihingen constituency since the 2011 state election .

Member of Parliament since 1976

In the state elections in Baden-Württemberg, each voter has only one vote, which is used to determine both the direct candidate and the total number of seats of a party in the state parliament . There are no state or district lists; instead, in order to establish the equalization of proportions, inferior constituency applicants are assigned second mandates . The regulation, which was valid until the 2006 election, provided for these mandates to be allocated according to the absolute number of votes at the level of the administrative districts. This is why so far a comparatively large number of applicants from the constituency of Bietigheim-Bissingen, which has also developed into a celebrity constituency , have won a mandate in the state parliament.

The electoral district of Bietigheim-Bissingen has been represented by the following members in the state parliament since 1976:
