Manfred Hollenbach (* 1. January 1946 in Creglingen ) is a German politician of the CDU .

education and profession

Manfred Hollenbach attended elementary school and grammar school in Creglingen and Weikersheim from 1952 to 1962 . From 1962 to 1967 he completed his training as a senior administrative service at the administrative actuary in Blaufelden and at the Bad Mergentheim district office . He graduated from the State Administration School in Stuttgart with a degree in administrative management . The community of Oberstenfeld hired Manfred Hollenbach as treasurer in 1966 . He held this office until 1972.

Political activity

Manfred Hollenbach was elected mayor of the community of Murr on July 11, 1972 . Since 1984 he has been a member of the district council of the Ludwigsburg district and since 1994 as chairman of the CDU parliamentary group.

On 1 October 2005, he moved to Annette Schavan as MP for the constituency 14 Bietigheim-Bissingen in the state parliament of Baden-Wuerttemberg after. In the state elections in 2006 , he won the direct mandate in this constituency with a share of 41.5 percent of the votes. In his home town of Murr, he received a well above average result of 57.8 percent of the vote. On June 30, 2010, Manfred Hollenbach took part in the election of the 10th Federal President as a member of the 14th Federal Assembly . For the state election in 2011 he was again put up as a candidate for the constituency of Bietigheim-Bissingen. With a share of the vote of 38.2 percent, he defended his direct mandate, although he still achieved an above-average result of 46.7 percent with double-digit losses in his home community. In the state parliament he is a member of the finance and economic committee and the interior committee.

Hollenbach did not run for mayor election in Murr in 2012 and thus ended his work as mayor of the municipality of Murr after almost forty years in office. Torsten Bartzsch was elected as his successor on April 22, 2012 with 72.26 percent of the vote.

In February 2015, Hollenbach announced that he would no longer run in the state elections in Baden-Württemberg in 2016 .

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Kreissparkasse Ludwigsburg .

Family and private

Manfred Hollenbach is Protestant. He has been married to his wife Margot since 1970 and has two grown daughters.
