Daniel Renkonen (born February 25, 1970 ) is a German politician in the Baden-Württemberg state parliament ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Renkonen is a local and sports journalist in the Boeblingen district and was a member of the administrative board of the Kreissparkasse Ludwigsburg and a youth judge at the Ludwigsburg district court .

He has been a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen since 2005. He was represented on the local council in Tamm for five years and was a member of the district council in the Ludwigsburg district between 1994 and 2014 , from 2000 also as parliamentary group chairman. In the state elections in 2011 , he won a second mandate with 25.0% of the votes in the constituency 14 of Bietigheim-Bissingen and thus entered the state parliament . In the state elections on March 13, 2016 , Renkonen was re-elected with 32.06% and thus received the direct mandate for the constituency of Bietigheim-Bissingen.

He represents the Green Parliamentary Group in the Transport and Environment Committee and also acts as a spokesman for climate protection. In the transport sector, Renkonen is responsible for bus traffic, air pollution control, environmental zones, Stuttgart 21 and the new Stuttgart-Ulm route. In the environmental sector, he is responsible for nuclear energy, the dismantling of nuclear power plants, climate protection and represents the parliamentary group as a member of the information commission on the nuclear power plant in Neckarwestheim .
