Johannes Doehring
Johannes Martin Doehring (born September 16, 1908 in Tiefensee , East Prussia , † August 15, 1997 ) was a German Protestant theologian .
Life
He was a son of the Berlin cathedral preacher Bruno Doehring . As a co-founder of the Protestant academy work in Germany, he headed the Protestant Academy Loccum from 1946. From 1961 to 1973 he was the first representative of the Protestant churches in the Rhineland, Westphalia and Lippe at the state parliament and state government in North Rhine-Westphalia and headed the Protestant office in Düsseldorf. He was also a co-founder of the Evangelical Action Group for Workers' Questions (AKFA), President of the Society for Social Progress in Bonn.
