Johannes Emil Gugumus

Johannes Emil Gugumus (born December 13, 1910 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein , † January 1, 1979 ibid) was a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Gugumus was born as the son of the city official Johannes Gugumus and his wife Kreszenz Baumann. He attended the Altsprachliche Gymnasium Ludwigshafen and received his ordination as a priest in Speyer in 1935 . In 1949 he received his doctorate in Heidelberg . From 1958 to 1960 he taught church history at the priestly college of Campo Santo Teutonico and was its rector from 1963 to 1970 . Then he was head of the diocese archives in Speyer .

In 1967 he was invested in Rome in the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem .
