Johannes Fässy

Johannes Fässy (also Fäßy ) (born April 5, 1781 in Frankfurt am Main ; † November 24, 1871 there ) was a Frankfurt craftsman and senator.

Johannes Fässy was a cloth maker in Frankfurt. As a craftsman, he could be elected as a so-called councilor in the third bank of the Senate of the Free City of Frankfurt . Fässy was elected as a member of the council on March 12, 1827 and was a member of the Senate until 1862. The Organic Law of 1856 abolished the division of the Senate into three banks. Since then, Fässy has held the title of Senator. He was a member of the Senate for 35 years, longer than any other Senator from the Free City of Frankfurt .

From 1829 to 1834 he was also a member of the Legislative Body . As a Freemason he belonged to the Frankfurt Lodge Zur Einigkeit .
