Johannes Flender

Johannes Flender (* 1653 in Siegen , † 1724 in Zutphen ) was a German philosopher and author .

Life

He was top of the Siegen pedagogy, in whose register his name is Latinized in Flenderus . He was entered in the register of the Bremen grammar school with the addition Sigenensis-Nassova , where he studied theology and philosophy.

In 1677 he became a preacher in Kleve and a teacher at the local Kurbrandenburg grammar school - at the latest in 1678 its vice-principal. On November 14, 1685 Johannes Flenderus followed an appointment to Zutphen as principal of the local Latin school. In Zutphen Johannes Flenderus wrote a script "Logica Contracta Claubergiana", written entirely in Latin, which was published in Amsterdam in 1703. The importance of the book is supported by the fact that it has had several editions.
