Johannes Froebus

Johannes "Hansi" Fröbus (born December 21, 1941 ) is a German former football goalkeeper .

Career

In the 1960s Fröbus played for 1. FC Bocholt in the Landesliga Niederrhein, with which he missed promotion to the association league in a decider in 1970 . He then followed his trainer Friedel Elting to STV Horst-Emscher , later SG Eintracht Gelsenkirchen, who played in the second-class Regionalliga West at the time . For the 1975/76 season , Hansi Fröbus moved to 1. FC Mülheim in the 2. Bundesliga North , where he played in a team with Norbert Eilenfeldt , Klaus-Dieter Bone and Alfons Sikora . For the Styrumer Löwen he played twelve games in the second Bundesliga, but at the end of the first half of the season he lost his regular place in goal to Friedel Schüller . After relegation from the 2nd league in 1976, Fröbus remained loyal to the club, but in 1977 1. FC Mülheim also rose from the Niederrhein association league. In 1978 the 36-year-old made a brief comeback for 1. FC Bocholt in the promotion round to the 2. Bundesliga .
