John I of Blankenfelde
Johannes I. von Blankenfelde (* around 1240 ; † 1320 in Berlin ) was the progenitor of the Berlin patrician family Blankenfelde and the first of a total of seven Berlin mayors of this family. In 1294 he is an elderly man .
A councilor by his name is mentioned in the shoemaker's guild letter of June 2, 1284 and in the tailors' guild letter of April 10, 1288 . Possibly it is the later Altermann, who was already represented on the city council at that time.
