Johannes Joos (born January 11, 1995 in Bietigheim-Bissingen ) is a German basketball player . He currently plays for the third division club VfL Bochum .

career

Joos learned the basketball ABC at BG Tamm / Bietigheim, for which he played from the U10 age group. He later moved to the youth department of the BSG Ludwigsburg, where he developed into a junior national player. Joos drew attention to himself with good performances in Ludwigsburg's performance teams in the youth basketball league and in the junior basketball league . He took his first steps in the men's area for the BSG in the second regional league. He made his debut in the Bundesliga  in February 2013 against Gießen. In the 2013/14 season, thanks to a "double license", Joos gained further match practice in the VfL Kirchheim jersey in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA .

He spent the 2014/15 game year on loan from the Ehingen / Urspring School syndicate  (also ProA), followed by another year in Kirchheim.

For the 2016/17 season Joos was placed under contract by the Gladiators Trier (also ProA). In the 2018/19 game year, Joos was the Moselans' second-best scorer with an average of 13.6 points per match. During the summer break of 2019, he moved within the 2nd Bundesliga to FC Schalke 04 and for the 2020/21 season to third division VfL Bochum .

National team

Joos took part in the B-EM 2013 with the German U18 team, in 2014 and 2015 he played the European Championships in Greece and Italy with the U20 national team.
