Johannes Michael Dellès

Johannes Michael Dellès (born April 6, 1840 in Lanningen ; † January 22, 1918 ) was a German Roman Catholic clergyman and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Dellès attended the Episcopal Institute in Bitsch ( Lorraine ) and studied philosophy and theology in the Metz seminary . From 1861 to 1869 he was chaplain in Saargemünd and from 1869 to 1872 pastor in Hesdorf . Between 1872 and 1884 he was cathedral preacher in Metz and since 1884 archpriest and pastor at the Church of St. Segolena in Metz. He was also an honorary canon at the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem and in the cathedral in Metz, as well as episcopal commissioner and member of the examination committee for elementary teachers.

Dellès was elected in a replacement election on July 24, 1889 as a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Alsace-Lorraine 14 (Metz). He belonged to the Alsace-Lorraine Protest Party and was a member of the Reichstag until 1893.
