Johannes Prochaska

Johannes Franz Josef Prochaska (born May 4, 1944 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). From 1974 to 2005 he was a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council .

Prochaska began his political career in the Young People's Party . In 1970 he was elected regional chairman of the youth organization of the Vienna People's Party. Prochaska was a member of the Vienna Landtag from 1974 to 2005. From 1979 to 1991 he was also state secretary of the ÖAAB -Wien and from 1984 to 1990 member of the board of the Chamber for Workers and Salaried Employees Vienna. On October 30, 1989, he was elected third chairman of the municipal council, a position he held until 1991. From 1990 to 2001 Prochaska was also the club chairman.

Prochaska was elected Vice President of the Austro-Czech Society in 1994. Johannes Prochaska is also a member of the ÖCV connection Saxo-Bavaria Prague .
