Johannes Ritterbecks

Johannes Ritterbecks (born September 29, 1908 in Brackel ; † December 13, 1965 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1958 to 1962 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

After elementary school , Johannes Ritterbecks completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith . From 1925 to 1928 he worked in this profession. Ritterbecks was already involved in politics and trade unions during the Weimar Republic . Since 1924 he was a member of the Center Party , the Windthorstbund and the Christian trade unions in Germany. From 1928 to 1930 Ritterbecks attended the day school for economics and administration in Düsseldorf , then was an employee at the Dortmund employment officeuntil he was dismissed for political reasons in 1933. From 1936 to 1940 Ritterbecks worked as an employee, between 1940 and 1945 he did military service in the Second World War and was taken prisoner of war. After the end of the war he worked again for the Dortmund employment office, from 1947 to 1961 he was head of the employment office branch in Lünen .

In 1946 Ritterbecks joined the CDU, in 1948 he became 2nd chairman of the Dortmund-Körne local union and a member of the CDU district executive. From 1952 to 1961 he was councilor of the city of Dortmund. In the state elections in 1958, Ritterbecks in constituency 106 (Dortmund I) was elected as a direct candidate for the CDU in the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament. He was an MP from July 21, 1958 to July 20, 1962.
