Johannes Schäfer (politician, 1908)

Johannes Schäfer (born March 29, 1908 in Eppstein ; † September 13, 1988 in Bremerhaven ) was a German entrepreneur and politician ( CDU ). He was a member of the Bremen citizenship .

biography

education and profession

After graduating from high school, Schäfer studied mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. From 1931 to 1934 he was an assistant at the Technical University of Danzig . Since 1934 he served as a professional soldier in the Navy and he was last in the Second World War as a corvette captain in engineering. After the war, he studied political science and economics and a doctorate Dr. rer. pole. In 1948 he founded a shipbuilding company with an engineering office in Bremerhaven. He obtained state approval as a shipbuilding expert. Since 1956 his company developed into a manufacturing company.

politics

Shepherd was a member of the Steel Helmet, League of Front Soldiers and after the DC circuit of the steel helmet as a subsidiary organization of the SA therefore shortly 1933-34 member of the SA, which he left because of disagreements. In 1948 he was denazified as a fellow traveler .
After the war he became a member of the CDU.

From 1963 to 1975 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship for around twelve years and was active in various deputations of the citizenship.
