Johannes Schick (politician)

Johannes Schick (* 8. February 1854 in Laupheim , † 10 / 11. February 1930 ) was a German politician ( center ).

Life

From 1873 to 1877 he studied law at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen . From 1874 he was a member of the Catholic student association AV Guestfalia Tübingen . He was elected mayor of Laupheim in 1883 and held this office until December 31, 1923. After the death of Adolph Untersee , Schick was elected in a substitute election in 1894 as a member of the Upper House of Laupheim in the second chamber of the Württemberg state parliament. After he was re-elected in 1895, 1900 and 1906, he tried unsuccessfully in 1912 to elect his son of the same name as his successor.
