Adolph Untersee (born November 26, 1842 in Gmünd ; † November 29, 1893 there ; also Adolf Untersee ) was the city ​​school leader of the city of Gmünd and a member of the Laupheim district authority .

Life

After graduating from high school in Ehingen (Donau) , the goldsmith's son Untersee first studied philosophy and theology , then political science and law as well as economics at the University of Tübingen . In 1865 he was awarded the Faculty of Economics Prize. In December 1868 Untersee passed the II higher judicial service examination before he was judicial assessor in Welzheim , Schwäbisch Gmünd and Saulgau from 1869 to 1871 . In December 1872 he settled in Gmünd as a lawyer with a doctorate . He was elected city school there in 1877 and received the title of Lord Mayor from King Karl von Württemberg in 1886 . From 1876 until his death, Untersee also represented the Oberamt Laupheim as a member of the state parliament in the Württemberg state estates . He was a member of the preparatory committee as well as the main speaker at the Katholikentag 23./24. November 1890 in Ulm .

During his tenure as city school, the city's sewer system as well as the renovation and construction of roads fell. In addition, two new school buildings were built, the Gmünder Münster restored and the advanced training school expanded. Untersee was awarded the Frederick Order, First Class , for his services .

Completely surprisingly, Untersee died in office in 1893. Untersee was buried in the Leonhard cemetery. Untersee was married and had a daughter.
