Karl Walter Hägele (born May 12, 1901 in Bietigheim , † April 25, 1949 in Neuenbürg ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a factory owner, Hägele studied law in Tübingen . During his studies in 1922 he became a member of the Roigel fraternity in Tübingen . In 1930 he was promoted to Dr. iur. received his doctorate and joined the Württemberg interior administration. In 1931 he became a member of the government at the Neuenbürg Oberamt , but from 1930 he worked as an administrative administrator in the Besigheim Oberamt and went to the Heilbronn Oberamt in 1931 and to the Tuttlingen Oberamt in 1932 . After he had previously been a member of the German Democratic Party (DDP), he joined the NSDAP in 1933 . In the same year he became a councilor at the Oberamt Balingen , was mayor of Schwäbisch Gmünd as provisional mayor in 1934 and became a councilor in the Ministry of the Interior in 1936. He became administrative administrator and later district administrator in the district of Calw , from 1938 he was also administrative administrator in Nagold . He gave up these offices in 1945 and worked for some time in Tübingen at the State Office of Inner Württemberg-Hohenzollern . He worked as a lawyer until his death .
