Johannes Thyssen

Johannes Thyssen (born August 22, 1892 in Langenberg (Rhineland) , † November 25, 1968 in Bonn ) was a German philosopher.

Thyssen studied theology and philosophy at Rostock, Geneva, Berlin, Tübingen and Bonn, where he in 1917 with the work of various kinds over the term education at Gustav Wilhelm Störring Dr. phil. PhD. In 1921 he completed his habilitation at the University of Bonn with the text Studies on the theory of psychology . He initially worked there as a private lecturer and adjunct professor until he was appointed full professor in 1947.

Thyssen was since 1954 co-editor of the Kant studies , since 1957 of the journal for philosophical research .
