Johannes Wolf (politician, 1879)

Johannes Wolf (born December 30, 1879 in Martinfeld , Heiligenstadt district , † July 26, 1938 in Stettin ) was a German politician ( DNVP ).

Wolf attended school in Martinfeld and after finishing school worked as a farm worker. Between 1899 and 1901 he did military service , later he became an industrial worker in a brick factory and then a construction worker. From 1914 to 1918 he fought in the First World War. In 1915 he was awarded the Iron Cross, Second Class. He was involved in the fighting in Poland and against Russia and also in the trench warfare on the Daugava . After the war he was the secretary of the Catholic workers' associations in the Rhine and Ruhrgau Duisburg, and also the editor of the union vote in Munich. Later he was a member of the Chamber of Agriculture in Stettin , he also became chairman of the Reichslandarbeiterbund . In 1924 he was elected to the Reichstag for the first time in constituency 6 (Pomerania) , to which he was a member until 1933.
