Johannes de Lyndech

Johannes de Lyndech (also: Lindech ) was an incumbent mayor of Dresden in the Middle Ages .

Lyndech of good will in 1311 as the owner Lindigt (now district Zuschendorf the city Pirna ) above, where also his family name is derived. Little is known about his life. In 1310, he was mentioned for the first time as the mayor of Dresden (magister civium) in a document dated July 6, which is now in the Saxon State Archives . In another document from the following year 1311 he appears again in the same function.

1337 there is talk of a Henczyl Lindech , which is probably a descendant.
