Johannes von Sengbusch
Johannes von Sengbusch (born May 27, 1828 in Pühhalep , † August 7, 1907 in Kaunispäh ( Ösel )) was a German-Baltic pedagogue in the Russian school service.
Life
Johannes von Sengbusch was the son of pastor Alexander von Sengbusch and his wife Julie, née von Nolcken . He studied philology and entered the Russian civil service as a teacher in 1848. From 1873 to 1875 he was director of the grammar school in Arensburg . From 1881 to 1888 he worked as class inspector of the Alexander Marien School and director of the Komissarow Institute for Technology in Moscow . He then became the owner of a private school and inspector of the German school for the poor .
Johannes von Sengbusch was the owner of Gut Kaunispäh and was enrolled in the Oeselsche Knighthood in 1892 . He had been married to his cousin Helene ( Nelly ) von Sengbusch since 1871 .
