Johannides is a Hungarian noble family who come from Komoron County .

history

Andreas Johannides was raised to the nobility by Emperor Leopold I on May 10, 1659. In the period from 1720 to 1730 Komoron County confirmed belonging to the nobility. The family also settled in neighboring counties such as Hont and Neograd .

One of the best-known representatives of this family was Georgius Johannides, who completed a theology degree in Pressburg at the archbishop's seminary after four semesters in 1795. Then he worked as a chaplain in Šahy . From August 23, 1796 to April 11, 1800 he was first chaplain and then pastor in Dolné Semerovce. From April 11, 1800 he was pastor in Demandice . There he died at the age of 61 on April 21, 1831. He was buried in the family vault of the church of St. Michael the Archangel in Demandice.

Georgius was a follower of Anton Bernolák . He was also a member of the Hont County Court .

The Johannides are related to other Hungarian noble families such as the Raksanyi, Pomothy , Pöstényi , Koncsek, Tarnoczy and Deaky.
