The Johmenstraße ( Latvian Jomas iela ) is a street in the Latvian town of Jurmala .

It runs from the bank of the Kurländische Aa in the west in an easterly direction through the center of the district Majori until it meets the border road ( Turaidas iela ) in the east after about 1.5 kilometers . The eastern two thirds of Johmenstrasse are designed as a pedestrian zone for around 1.1 kilometers .

Johmenstrasse is one of the oldest streets in the seaside resort of Jūrmala. The road runs parallel to a valley called Johme along the coastal sand dunes. The pedestrian zone was designated in 1987. There are many restaurants and shops on Johmenstrasse, and the street is particularly touristy in summer. A street festival lasting several days takes place every summer.

Not far from the western beginning of the pedestrian zone, the Lāčplēsis sculpture has stood since 1953 and the Rainis and Aspazija monument since 1990 . At the eastern end of the street is the Russian Orthodox Church of the Kazan Mother of God and the Jūrmala Globe .

Many of the buildings on Johmenstrasse are listed buildings . The buildings Johmenstrasse 29, 36, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 46, 48, 50, 55, 56, 78, 82 and 92 are registered in the Latvian register of monuments.
