John B , real name John Bryn Williams , (born July 12, 1977 in Maidenhead ) is an English drum and bass producer and DJ . He is best known for his own sounding "Electrostep", developed in early 2002, a heavily synthesizer-heavy and "analog" sounding drum and bass that takes up elements from trance and electro . John B performs internationally as a DJ and owns the record label Beta Recordings . In addition, John B has three sub-labels, Nu Electro , Tangent , and Chihuahua .

life and career

John B began music at the age of 13 and later devoted himself to producing alongside his biology studies at Durham University . Grooverider John B's track Secrets was released in 1997 on the later widely known LP sampler Prototype Years . His final breakthrough came with the 2001 track Up All Night , which was a mixture of old-school breakbeat elements and trance.

In the last few years (before 2005) John B has changed his style and mainly produces his own remixes of 1980s pop hits and pieces influenced by electroclash . Matching this, he gives himself a glamorous image with wild hairstyles and heavily made-up . These remixes are not available in stores, but can only be heard during his performances and on mp3 mixes that he has put on the Internet, but still have a significant influence on the development of the sound of drum and bass. With this strategy he gained a lot of popularity.

2009 John B came in the choice of 100 DJs Top of DJ Mag ranked 92 in 2010, he again reached the list of the best DJs in the world ranked 76th
