Marianne Hartung

Marianne Hartung (* 1954 , née Pisch) is a German Catholic theologian and religious educator. She grew up in Großenenglis in northern Hesse .

Her work, Fear and Guilt in Depth Psychology and Theology , written at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster, appeared in 1979. In it, she analyzes the relationship between the theology of Paul Tillich and Hans Urs von Balthasar and the psychology of Sigmund Freud and Carl Gustav Jung . In 1983 her less well-known book Social Pedagogical Advice in the Community was published .

Hartung's interests lie particularly in the contemporary teaching of the faith in religious instruction in schools , pastoral work in schools and in the Catholic Church .

Hartung is married to Thomas Hartung and has two children.
