John B. Taylor, 2007

John Brian Taylor (born December 8, 1946 in Yonkers , New York ) is an American economist and professor of economics at Stanford University .

He established the Taylor Rule , served as Under Secretary of the Treasury for International Affairs at the US Treasury Department during President George W. Bush's first term, and served on the Council of Economic Advisers during Gerald's tenure Fords . In 1993 he was accepted into the American Academy of Arts and Sciences . Taylor is a member and President of the Mont Pèlerin Society since 2018 .
