John Davies (* in Coventry ) is an English musician.

Life

Davies trained in acting, dance and music at Pattersons Academy and College.

John Davies was discovered by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber . In 1988 he was the youngest actor to get an engagement with Starlight Express in London, where he played almost every role before he became the first cast Greaseball .

He came to Bochum in 1992 for the German production of Starlight Express and went to Berlin the following year to play Captain Jack in the musical Shakespeare & Rock 'n' Roll . Engagements for Space Dream and Lord of the Rings followed .

In 2002 Davies got the main role of Sir John in Pomp, Duck and Circumstance after successfully portraying Johnny Klein at Falco meets Amadeus in Berlin .

In 2004 he went on tour as Monty with the Bee Gees musical Saturday Night Fever .

John Davies isn't just a name in the musical genre. He also achieved numerous national and international successes as the frontman of the bands 'Power Unit', 'Disco Inferno' (split 1/2007) and 'Eighties4ever'.

In 1999, Davies teamed up with Mark 'Oh . Together, the two musicians produced the hit album Rebirth , which reached number 33 on the German album charts . Three decoupled singles (including The Sparrows and the Nightingales ) also made it onto the German charts .

His first solo single I Promised Myself , which reached top 50 positions in Germany and Switzerland in 2000, and its successor Love Is Everywhere (2002) made the singer known in Europe and Japan.

Several television appearances, including on VIVA , MTV , Top of the Pops , Wetten, dass ..? , Candid Camera? and NBC GIGA , followed.

The latest musical project from John Davies is Groovalishuss , together with the well-known actor and singer Ron Holzschuh .
